A 31-year-old South Lyon woman remains in an area hospital after being struck by a train Thursday afternoon. As of Friday morning, South Lyon Fire Chief Robert Vogel said the victim is still in critical condition and unconscious. The South Lyon Police Department continues to investigate the incident. "We are waiting to view the camera from the front of train engine," said Lt. Chris Sovik. "There is no indication of suicide and nobody pushed her." South Lyon police received a call around 1:15 p.m. Thursday reporting that a woman had been struck by a train at the intersection of 10 Mile Road and Reynold Sweet Parkway. The victim was rushed to Novi's Providence Park Hospital in critical condition.
