The Stillwater Fire Department is mourning the unexpected loss of a longtime member. A post to the department's Facebook page Wednesday announced Mike Peltier, who had been with the department since 1990 and had served alongside not only his father, but three brothers, recently died suddenly. No cause of death was given. A visitation is planned from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the Simonet Funeral Home in Stillwater. His funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. (10 a.m. visitation) Monday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in the city. All Minnesota firefighters are invited to attend.
