The Minneapolis Fire Department reports firefighters responded to a structure fire on the 2100 block of 44th Avenue North Monday morning. A tweet from the department reported a small fire on the second floor was extinguished, and a resident was transported from the scene to seek medical attention due to smoke inhalation. A KSTP crew on the scene reported the structure is a three-story apartment building. One unit was damaged, but the rest of the residents were allowed back in. A tweet from the fire department stated the cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
