A weekend-long Air Quality Alert expired at noon Sunday as winds help to disperse lingering smoke in most areas.
According to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, residual smoke may cause some remaining unhealthy conditions for sensitive groups such as people with asthma, allergies, or other breathing problems.
These higher conditions are expected to be short-lived.
The PCA says Monday will be mostly good statewide. However, some Canadian wildfire smoke may enter northwest areas of the state during the afternoon or evening hours.
