One person was taken to a nearby hospital after a house fire in Tonka Bay Thursday. Authorities said a call reporting a fire in the area came in just before midnight. The Excelsior fire chief said the fire was designated as a two-alarm fire, as a precaution. Authorities said the person taken to the hospital sustained injuries that were not life threatening.
