No one was hurt when the garage of a Turtle River Township house went up in flames Thursday.
According to a news release from the Bemidji Fire Department, firefighters arrived at the scene at about 11:02 a.m. and found the garage was fully engulfed, with the fire spreading to the house. Eighteen firefighters used three fire engines, three water tenders, a rescue unit and a command vehicle to put out the fire. The department was on the scene for about three hours; the fire caused about $80,000 in damage.
