More serious charges, including arson, are expected against a Crookston man, who is in custody after a house fire was reported early Thursday in Jerome’s Addition and, according to police, he acted in disorderly fashion and obstructed them when law enforcement, firefighters and ambulance personnel arrived.
Crookston Police Chief Paul Biermaier reports that a preliminary investigation by the Minnesota Fire Marshal’s office indicates the fire was intentionally set.
Robert Holmes, 65, is at the Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston awaiting formal charges.
The call came in at approximately 12:20 a.m. Thursday regarding the house fire at 110 Lincoln Avenue. Crookston firefighters, police, and Crookston Area Ambulance Service personnel responded.
