The St. Paul Fire Department says a car fire in a downtown parking ramp was extinguished without injuries Tuesday afternoon. The department said the fire was reported in a St. Joseph's Hospital parking ramp at 72nd 10th Street West. A single car was involved, and because there were no sprinklers in that building, it took a little while to get water there. But the blaze was extinguished without injuries to the public or firefighters. The traffic camera at Interstate 94 East and John Ireland Boulevard picked up the smoke coming from the ramp.
