Winona Apparel donated 20 percent of its September sales to the Winona Fire Department in memory of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Winona Apparel is a local apparel company headquartered in Winona. The company was founded by Winona natives Brad and Amy McNally as a way to honor and promote their hometown. As a way to give back to the local community, Winona Apparel has chosen the Winona Fire Department as its charity partner. Winona Apparel is thankful for all they do and proudly donates a portion of sales and apparel. Amy McNally was living in New York when the 9/11 attacks happened. She watched the towers burn before escaping uptown. Therefore, the fire department is especially close to her heart. “I am thankful for the help the firefighters provided me personally on 9/11 and will never forget that scary, fateful day,” she said. “The fire department is an important service that we must continue to support today on the local level ... even us, as small local startup company.”
