Every two seconds someone in America is in need of blood and just one donor can save up to three lives. That's according to the Red Cross.
Emergency crews see the need through their work, which is why they are lending a hand in Rochester. Or more accurately, lending an arm … so they can donate blood.
The latest "Battle of the Badges" competition kicked off in September. Law enforcement, firefighters and paramedics are going head-to-head to see who can give the most blood before the end of December.
