The Cook County Sheriff's Department, Grand Marais firefighters and other first responders were called to a reported fire on the Devil Track Road on Sunday.
The fire was reported by a neighbor at 5:15 a-m when they awoke to a loud noise and saw a red glow.
When crews arrived, the home and attached garage, containing two vehicles, were fully engulfed in flames.
The homeowner and two others were able to escape the fire without injury.
The cause and origin of the fire are under investigation by the State Fire Marshal's Office.
