Crews on the Lolo Peak Fire plan to use the next two days working to get as much control as possible before more troublesome weather moves in Wednesday. Meteorologists anticipate erratic winds and possible dry lightning to move in Wednesday and possibly carry over into Thursday. The Lolo Peak Fire grew to more than 31,000 acres by Monday morning. The latest infrared map shows some continued burning along the Highway 12 corridor. The map shows a few spot fires in the same area, along with one near Carlton Creek and a few near Duffy Lake on the south side of the fire.
