Authorities confirmed that a man is dead after a trailer home went up in flames on Thursday evening.
Missoula Rural Fire District crews were called to the double wide trailer shortly before 7:30 p.m.
The home was completely engulfed in flames when the crews arrived and they spent several hours at the scene.
Fire officials said the intensity of the flames made it impossible for crews to enter the home and that the conditions inside the burning home were "unsurvivable."
"These types of structures go up really fast, and they burn hot like any fire would," Missoula County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Brenda Bassett said.
Missoula Rural Fire District Chief Bill Colwell says the victim, whose name has not been released, was home alone when the fire broke out.
The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
