A 71-year-old woman who was injured after the snowmobile she was riding on crashed into a tree had to be rescued on Thursday morning on the Two Top Trail. According to a press release, the woman sustained knee and rib injuries in the crash 8 miles southwest of West Yellowstone. At 10:40 a.m. the West Yellowstone Police Department Dispatch Center received a 911 call reporting the snowmobile crash. Rescuers from Sheriff’s Search and Rescue in West Yellowstone and Hebgen Basin Rural Fire District responded. The woman was traveling with three other members of her family, including a physician.
