Quick response by county and city law enforcement officers, volunteer firemen, emergency medical responders, Glacier Electric, Glacier County Disaster and Emergency Services (DES) and Alme Construction prevented what could have been a “huge disaster” when a tanker truck tipped over on Hwy. 213 on Thursday morning, March 15.
“It was pretty cool to watch all those professionals come together and do a job that was extremely hazardous for the safety of the community,” stated Sgt. Judd Milender of the Glacier County Sheriff’s Office.
There were no injuries from the crash, except for the two Glacier Electric power poles and the parked pickup owned by GEC employee Michael Fugle. The driver was issued a Careless Driving citation by the Montana Highway Patrol, who conducted the crash investigation, said Milender. No other information was able from the MHP at press time.
