Billings firefighters responded to two fires in fours hours Friday morning on the South Side.
The first one, which occurred around 6:30 a.m. at 117 Jackson St., damaged a detached garage in the alley behind the house, as well as a vehicle under the attached carport.
A vehicle and a camper also were damaged in the fire, according to a press release from Deputy Fire Marshal Jeff McCullough. Billings Fire Department firefighters quickly had the blaze under control and were checking to see if fire had spread into the attic inside the garage, said BFD Battalion Chief Ed Regele.
