Missoula Fire Department responded to a house fire on Strand Ave. late Saturday night. The fire reportedly began in the car port and moved into the house. The heat from the fire caused the siding of neighbor Randy Sandberg’s house to melt. “I hadn't noticed anything up until the point that I turned the lights off to go to bed. And that's when I could see the orange glow," said Sandberg. Sandberg’s neighbor helped him evacuate from his home in the early morning hours Sunday. Missoula Fire Department sent out a press release Sunday afternoon reporting multiple fires early Sunday morning. A vehicle fire near Linda Vista Blvd. and Christian Drive was called in close to 1 a.m. A structure fire involving multiple apartment units was reported at Cambium Apartments at the Sawmill District just after 7 a.m. Sunday. No injuries were reported in any of the fires.
