A man accused of striking and killing two pedestrians with his car in Wake County in February 2014 pleaded guilty to two counts of felony death by motor vehicle in court Monday.
Marshall Doran, 24, from Kure Beach, pleaded guilty to those charges at 10 a.m. at the Wake County Justice Center. His related DWI and drug possession charges were dropped.
Doran is already serving two life sentences for setting fires that killed two at Carolina Beach in December 2014.
Investigators say when Doran tried to avoid a truck spun out in the snow on Interstate 40 in February of 2014, he hit and killed two men on the shoulder of the road.
