Robeson County investigators continue to look into the cause of an early-morning house fire that claimed the life of a Pembroke man.
According to Robeson County Fire Marshal Stephanie Chavis, firefighters were dispatched to a home on Philadelphus Road around 1 a.m., Tuesday.
When units arrived, the home was fully involved, Chavis said. The victim’s body was found in the house.
The victim has been identified as Michael Wayne Chavis, 58, according to the fire marshal. There is no relation between the two.
