A tractor-trailer fire shut down part of Interstate 85 in Rowan County Wednesday morning. It happened around 4:30 a.m. on I-85 southbound at mile marker 65 near China Grove. The road was reopened by 6:15 a.m. Highway 29 to Lane Street was used as an alternate route. There's no word on what caused the tractor-trailer to catch fire, or whether anyone was injured.
