The Volunteer Fire Department of East Bend celebrated a milestone anniversary on Saturday. The station marked its 60th anniversary with a community celebration.
Fire Chief Ronnie Boles welcomed attendees, honored guests, including county and government officials, and one of the remaining charter members, Clyde Wall.
“Without him and his leadership back in 1956, the foundation would not have been laid for us to be here today,” Boles said of Wall.
Speaking on behalf of the Ladies Auxiliary was Christina Boles.
