Two people were taken to the hospital and six family pets were killed in a fire Tuesday morning in Whispering Pines, according to the Aberdeen Times. The incident happened around 3:30 a.m. at a single-story home located at 74 Pinelake Drive. Fire officials say the fire was concentrated in a room where the fire started. They say the entire house suffered smoke damage. Two people were home at the time of the fire and were able to make an escape before emergency responders arrived, officials say.
