A fire gutted a Nebo home off U.S. 70 East and the cause is under investigation by McDowell County Sheriff’s Office and the State Bureau of Investigation.

The Marion Fire Department, Nebo Fire Department, Dysartsville Fire Department, Glenwood Fire Department, McDowell EMS, McDowell Rescue Squad, McDowell Emergency Management and the McDowell Sheriff’s Office responded to the call.
