For the third time in just a few days Salisbury firefighters had to battle a fire at a vacant house. On Wednesday afternoon fire was reported at a house in the 200 block of S. Shaver Street. Firefighters reported lots of flames and smoke when they arrived. The cause of the fire has not been determined. Last week there were fires in vacant houses on Cooper Street and Stokes Ferry Road. Investigators ruled the Stokes Ferry Road fire as arson, and the Cooper Street fire as suspicious. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
