Hickory Police swore in three new officers, and Hickory Fire hired two experienced firefighters Feb. 10, according to press releases from the departments.
All three of the new HPD officers have begun their careers in law enforcement with the HPD.
“It’s always exciting to see new officers answer the call to enter the policing profession, as I believe there is no greater way to serve and give back to their community,” HPD Police Chief Thurman Whisnant said via the release.
The new officers are Bradley Beach, of Lenoir; Binh P. Dang, of Vietnam; and Joshua D. Reuscher, of Granite Falls. They have been assigned to the Patrol Division.
