A class this week at the the Buncombe Coounty Public Safety Training Center is teaching first responders how to ask for help.
For a group normally providing the help, it can be a difficult task to be vulnerable.
"Because we are -- by nature -- helpers," said Capt. Anna Pigman, of the Asheville Fire Department. "We go into burning buildings. We try and fix situations. So, it's especially challenging to ask for help when you can't fix it yourself."
