Firefighters said a space heater is to blame for an overnight house fire in northwest Charlotte.
Flames broke out at the home on Sarena Place, off Rozelle’s Ferry Road, around 1 a.m.
Channel 9 could see firefighters pulling down damaged wood from around the home's windows, and the walls inside were charred.
Officials said one person was inside when the fire started but made it out safely.
Fire investigators estimated the fire caused $25,000 in damages.
