The Lexington Fire Department has been recognized by the North Carolina Department of Insurance, Office of the State Fire Marshal, for receiving a District Rating of 2 for 2017. This is an improvement from Lexington's previous Rating of 3 and represents a tremendous amount of work performed over several years by the entire Fire Chief Department in order to receive this rating. This rating can significantly lower homeowners' insurance ratings thus, a cost savings to our residents.
