Norlina Volunteer Fire Department Junior Firefighter earns top honor

D.K. Trotman, president of Warren County Fire Explorer Post 672 and a member of the Norlina Volunteer Fire Department, shown in photo at left, attended the West Virginia University Fire Extension Service Junior Firefighter Camp June 3-8 at the West Virginia State Fire Training Center in Weston, W.Va. While there, he and other junior firefighters from across the nation trained in firefighting skills including search and rescue, forced entry and ventilation, vehicle and structural fires, water and rope rescue, first aid/CPR, confined space rescue and participated in live fire exercises.
