Students train in Buncombe County to become next generation of firefighters

A group of students from the High School Firefighter Academies across North Carolina got to train in professional firefighter courses at the Buncombe County Training Center located in Woodfin. This is part of the third annual N.C. High School Firefighter Challenge. The students were taught many firefighter basics in both a classroom and field setting. Insurance Commissioner and State Fire Marshal, Mike Causey was also in attendance. He spoke to the teenagers on the importance of being the next generation of firefighters.
