Lightning sparked a Huntersville house fire during Tuesday evening storms, the Huntersville Fire Department says. The fire broke out around 9 p.m. at a home on Neck Road, near Latta Springs Circle. The Long Creek Fire Department tweeted that flames were "through the roof" after a lightning strike. Storms rolled through much of the WBTV viewing area Tuesday afternoon, bringing lightning and even hail. Firefighters had the fire under control in about 24 minutes. No one was injured in the fire.
