No one was injured when part of a building collapsed in downtown Williamston this morning. Williamston Fire Chief James Peele says it happened around 7:30 a.m. on West Main Street. The chief says the first floor of the downtown building remains in tact while a portion of the second floor has fallen off. Peele says the building, which once was Mitchell's Photography, may have to be torn down. The building is unoccupied and most of the rubble was contained to the sidewalk, according to Peele.
