A fire completely consumed a building in Hazelwood Monday night as firefighters and residents looked on in quiet awe. The building, most recently the home of the Old Time Insurance Services Inc., was destroyed to make room to expand the neighboring parking lot. The Wayesnville Fire Department seized the opportunity to conduct some valuable training. Through a permitting process which involves both the state and the EPA, Chief Joey Webb got permission to burn the building.
