A group of students with special needs learned some hands training from people who save lives in the community. Eight students from the South Brunswick high school explorer program learned how to put out a fire properly. They also did a mini obstacle course with a rescue mission. This was the first time for this type of camp. And it was all possible with the help of the Oak Island Fire and Police Departments and Boiling Spring Lakes Fire Department. “This is the first, I’ve called and looked around and there is no other camp that I found anywhere in the nation that’s doing this for these kids.
