Moore County man airlifted after falling out of moving truck, being impaled by metal rack

A Moore County man was airlifted to a trauma center Saturday afternoon after falling out of the back of a parked moving truck and becoming impaled through his back by a metal rack, according to the Aberdeen Times. Emergency responders with Moore County EMS and Southern Pines Fire & Rescue arrived around 1:30 p.m. to a home in the 100 block of Loden Drive. 2 Firefighters were able to cut the metal rack and secure the piece of metal that was left in the man before transporting him to the Moore County Airport to meet a helicopter. He was then flown to a trauma center for treatment. The man's condition is unknown.
