At least three buildings were damaged following lightning strikes Wednesday night. Authorities said firefighters arrived at a home in the 500 block of Williwood Road in Fayetteville at about 4:15 p.m. and found heavy fire showing from the roof and second story of the home. Authorities said the home is virtually a total loss, with an estimated $160,000 worth of damage caused by the fire. Two people inside the home were about to get out safely before firefighters arrived and no injuries were reported as a result of the fire, authorities said. Just before 10 p.m., authorities arrived a home in the 1700 block of Habilah Road in Fayetteville and found a fire in the attic of the home. Firefighters were able to quickly stop the fire from spreading, but the home suffered about $30,000 worth of damage, largely to the attic. Three residents inside the home were able to get out before crews arrived, authorities said.
