A two-car accident in Hickory on Monday morning sent one to the hospital.
Jeffrey Croft, 27, of Hickory, was traveling eastbound on Second Avenue SW when he hit a silver Mercedes which was traveling south on Ninth Street SW.
“She ran the red light and I T-boned her,” he said. The Hickory Police Department has determined the crash was caused by someone running a red light, but as of 10:50 a.m., officers had not been determined who did not stop for the red light.
Croft did not have any injuries. The impact of the crash caused the silver Mercedes to flip on its side.
The Hickory Fire Department had to cut off the top of the vehicle to extract the woman. Her name and the extent of her injuries has not been released.
