The Fire Technology and Safety program at Orange High School exceeded expectations in the first semester of operation in fall 2017. The program is poised for growth as it enters its second semester with an additional level two class, providing another step for students on a career path to fire fighting and rescue. Thanks to donations from area fire departments, students now have the opportunity to fast-track their profession to certification and get hands-on experience with various fire fighting equipment and gear. The culmination of a semester’s worth of work was shown in December at the Fire Safety Program Open House at Orange High School.
