Police are investigating how a home in Ayden caught fire Thursday afternoon, the second time in a month. Firefighters were alerted to the blaze at the corner of Lee Street and Jackson Street around 3:15 p.m. Flames were showing when the first firefighters arrived. Crews from Ayden and Winterville Community fire departments responded to the fire. Firefighters say last month's fire was caused by an electrical problem, and that the family had moved out of the house because of that fire.
