Fire officials say crews are currently responding a brush fire in Buncombe County. The Enka Candler Fire Department said they are on scene of the fire. The call came in at 11:32, the fire department said. Buncombe County Assistant Fire Marshal Jerry Leatherwood said trucks cannot access the area due a development that is under construction. Fire officials said hand screws have to be sent in to walk toward the fire. Around four acres have been burned since the fire started, the department said. No injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
