A 3-year-old pit bull named Razor is being hailed a hero after he saved his family from their burning home in Ayden early Wednesday.
“My mother and I were watching TV in the living room last night and had fell asleep,” Kadasia Roach said.
Roach normally takes the dog out in the morning but Razor was barking incessantly well before walk time, signaling something was wrong.
“We usually take him Razor to the bathroom at 5:30 in the morning,” she said. “It was early and we were trying to tell the dog to be quiet, but he wouldn’t be quiet,” Roach said.
