Firefighters prevented the spread of a loading dock fire in the 200 block of 16th Street SW on Thursday morning, according to a Hickory Fire Department press release. HFD personnel responded to the fire at approximately 5:20 a.m. with three engines, one ladder, one rescue truck and one command unit. Firefighters reported light smoke coming from the multi-tenant business and extinguished a fire on the loading dock to ensure the blaze did not spread to other locations in the building.
