A firefighter was injured overnight battling a fire at a mobile home in Wayne County.
Firefighters responded to the home, located at 109 Knollwood Drive, less than two minutes after receiving the call.
According to Fire Chief Tommy Baker, the department was just clearing from a nearby woods fire when they got the call, so they were able to start putting water on the fire within just a few minutes.
At the scene, they saw flames shooting from the roof. Dozens of firefighters fought the blaze, but the home was heavily damaged and left uninhabitable. It took two hours to extinguish the fire.
One firefighter was slightly injured and transported to a local hospital.
