A driver was trapped in the car after crashing into a power pole in east Charlotte Sunday evening. According to the Charlotte Fire Department, the incident happened near Rama Road at Lynbrook Drive. The driver was rescued from car and suffered minor injuries. More than 500 homes in the area were without power after the crash. According to the Duke Energy outage map, the power in the area isn't expected to be restored until 8 a.m. Monday.
