A Greensboro firefighter and High Point native will prove he can keep his cool under pressure tonight on a national cooking competition.
Daniel Gray, also known as Chef MonkonJay is a contestant on the first responders episode of 'Chopped!'
The episode entitled, "Fire It Up!" will pit four firefighter cooks against each other to see who will thrive when the heat is on. Gray talked to WFMY News 2's Tracey McCain about the experience.
"It was actually much harder in person, about 10 times harder," said Gray. "All that stuff is real. None of that is Hollywood. We are really in there competing."
Gray specializes in Cheesecakes; it's his signature dish. That's why he named his business Uncle Cheesecake.
