Five displaced after lightning causes house fire in south Charlotte

Five people were displaced after lightning caused a house fire in south Charlotte Wednesday evening. According to the Charlotte Fire Department, the incident happened at a home in the 2400 block of Cumberland Avenue. Officials said 31 firefighters controlled the fire at a three-story house in 15 minutes. CFD said a lightning strike started the fire that left $65,000 worth of damages. There were no injuries in the fire. No further information was released.
