Firefighters contained a mobile home blaze in Cool Park Trailer Court in the 3200 block of Kool Park Road Monday morning. St. Stephens Fire Department Engineer Ethan Matthews said the blaze began underneath the trailer when insulation caught on fire. “(The fire) had burned through the floor and went inside a little bit,” Matthews said. “There was some smoke and a little bit of heat damage.” Matthews said a neighbor on scene gave firefighters a report, saying that when he saw smoke underneath the trailer he knocked on the door but did not get an answer, forcing him to go inside and retrieve the homeowner.
