A family in Plymouth is displaced after a fire tore through their home early Sunday morning.
The Plymouth Volunteer Fire Department, Roper Volunteer Fire Department and Pungo River Volunteer Fire Department responded to a call at 108 Freeman Court around 5:13 a.m.
Once on scene, firefighters say crews saw flames coming out of one side of the home.
Everyone inside the house was able to safely get out of the building before crews arrived, Plymouth Volunteer Fire Department PIO Brock Harris said.
The flames caused significant damage to the home, but firefighters do not believe the building is a total loss, Harris said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
