An SUV slid off the road and into a residence in the 2100 block of Robinson Road Monday morning.
The car ran over the double yellow line of the two-lane road, colliding with the corner of the residence.
Hickory Fire Department and Catawba County EMS responded to the scene, but the driver of the vehicle was cleared of any injury.
Firefighters attempted to contact the owner of the residence, but no one was home at the time of the incident, according to Hickory’s Fire Education Coordinator Terri Byers.
