A teenage junior firefighter was injured in a car wreck Monday as snow fell around the region.
Chief Joey Lambert, with the Rheasville Volunteer Fire Department, said his crews were busy during the early evening hours Monday and ended up responding to a crash involving one of their own.
“We were getting bombarded,” Lambert said. “We were leaving one call on (NC 903) and headed to Sam Powell Dairy Road for another wreck when we got paged out to another wreck on 903 near Five Points, only a mile or two from the previous wreck.”
